Hello! I'm Shriya, an artist of experiences 🫰🏼✨
With more than a decade of experience in diverse design fields across the United States and India, spanning both work and education, I have nurtured a passion for creating meaningful, impactful designs that enrich lives. Recently, I embarked on a new chapter of my creative journey by founding Iraaya, an art business where I craft unique artwork inspired by curiosity and human connection.
Through my work—whether designing products, environments, or art—I strive to inspire, influence, and connect. Guided by empathy, collaboration, and a deep love for the creative process, I firmly believe that every design has the power to shape lives and tell stories with purpose.
◉ Open to New Opportunities
Less is more
Simplicity is the key. It peels away the layers to reveal the core purpose. As Jonathan aptly stated, 'Simplicity isn't just decluttering; it's about revealing an object's genuine purpose and its place.' This principle guides my journey as a UX designer and researcher, shaping designs that seamlessly merge function and significance.
Purpose
Every design needs a meaningful purpose and a solid reason driving it. Otherwise, it's just a pretty but pointless creation. I use various approaches to ensure every product I create has a clear purpose, and I test rigorously to ensure that purpose is fulfilled.
Empathy and Focus
Understanding and caring about the users makes a big difference. When we step into their shoes and grasp their emotions and perspectives, we can truly appreciate their challenges and situations. This fuels my commitment to crafting designs centered around users and addressing real problems, not hypothetical ones.
